Knowing the will of God for us this year is a crucial need if we must have a fruitful and successful year.
There’s only one way to know the will of God. BY SEEKING IT. Through; Prayer and God’s word.
Prayer
This is simply a communication that takes place between us and God. Several times in the scriptures, the disciples of Jesus Christ prayed to know the will of God. Jesus Himself also prayed to know the will of God (Luke 6:12-13).
We cannot but follow the same pattern especially as we step into the new year. God has something specific for each of us to achieve this year. Seek Him to know it. Remember He said in Isaiah55:6-7 and Jeremiah 29:11-14 that when we seek Him diligently, we’ll surely find Him.
God’s Word
As we study God’s word, He would often reveal His will for our lives through His word.
Several people in the scriptures have also discovered the will of God this way like in the case of Peter in Acts 2:15-21, Jesus (our pattern for living) in Luke 4:16-21 and so on.
Daily study of God’s word makes it a whole lot easier to access His will through His word. Never miss your daily devotions and deliberately ask God to reveal His will for you through His word.
Finally, brethren, God speaks to us through various means but every revelation has to have its roots in God’s word. And never forget, the Holy Spirit is our teacher.
He interprets what we hear so our spirit can understand.
